Both appliances from Launceston were mobilised on receipt of a call stating that there was a chimney fire in a thatched property. On arrival crews found that the fire had been confined to the chimney, the fire was extinguished using stirrup pump & rods also a hosereel, crews also used a thermal image camera to check over the thatched roof.
