At 13:12 the Critical Control Centre received a 999 call informing them of a chimney fire at a restaurant in Porthleven.

Two appliances from Helston and Tolvaddon Community Fire Stations were immediately mobilised, along with a whole time officer for support.

Following a number of further calls, an additional appliance from Penzance was mobilised and a 4x4 from Helston.

The building is two storeys, measuring approx 14 metres by 10 metres and the fire is confirmed to be on the first floor. Fire crews are using hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera is also in use.

Twenty personnel remain in attendance at this time.
