Critical Control received multiple 999 calls reporting a fire in the garden of a property. Initially one appliance from Perranporth Community Fire Station was mobilised. On arrival the Incident Commander made an initial assessment and sent the message "Make Pumps 2" to Critical Control, who immediately mobilised an additional appliance from Newquay Community Fire Station to the incident, along with a Wholetime Station Manager.

The fire had spread to a domestic oil tank which had become fully involved in fire. Crews used 1 Hose Reel Jet, 1 Main Jet and 1 Foam Branch to extinguish the fire.

The Environment Agency were also notified of the incident due to the nature of the fire and the use of firefighting foam.
