Critical Control received an urgent call from South Western Ambulance Service requesting fire attendance at a road traffic collision. Three casualties were thought to be involved, with one casualty reportedly trapped inside a vehicle with smoke issuing. An appliance from St Austell Community Fire Station was immediately mobilised along with a Rescue Tender from Bodmin Community Fire Station, a Wholetime Station Manager and a Group Manager.

On arrival crews found that no casualties were trapped. Police and Ambulance were already in attendance at the incident and the crews made the scene safe before handing over to the police.
