Car In Flood Water

Lostwithiel at 22/11/2019 17:51

Today, six appliances and two officers were mobilised to a vehicle that reported being stuck in moving flood water after attempting to drive through it.

On arrival the first appliance reported that three casualties were sitting on top of their vehicle in deep standing water and rescued them using dry suits and life jackets. The car that was blocking the road was winched to a safe position using the Fire Engine winch.

This incident would have been avoidable if they hadn't attempted to drive through this flood water. Please remember
"TURN AROUND,DON'T DROWN".
