At 02:08 Critical Control received a 999 call reporting youths setting fire near bins. One appliance from Penzance Community Fire Station were mobilised to the scene. Due to the nature of the report, the Police were requested to attend.

As part of the Critical Control Centre's CCTV function, control room staff were able to monitor the incident and assist the police with locating those believed to be responsible.

On scene crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The incident has been handed over to the police. Anyone with information should contact the police on 101 quoting log 51 of 17/12/19.
