At 19:09 Critical Control received a 999 call reporting a dog stuck in a river and unable to get out. Due to the potential risk to the animal one appliance from Hayle Community Fire Station and a Water Rescue Unit from Penzance Community Fire Station, as well as a Wholetime Officer. A Technical Rescue Adviser was also consulted.
On scene firefighters trained in water rescued entered the water and rescued the dog who was left in the care of their owner.
