At 16:10 Critical Control received a 999 call reporting a fire in the kitchen of a property. Two appliances from Penzance Community Fire Station were mobilised along with two Wholetime Officers.

A Wholetime Officer arrived just ahead of the first appliance and informed Critical Control the property was well alight. In light of this informative message, an additional appliance from St Just Community Fire Station was mobilised.

On arrival a Breathing Apparatus team using a hose reel jet entered the property to extinguish the fire. Once the fire was extinguished crews used Positive Pressure Ventilation to clear smoke from the property.

First aid including oxygen therapy with administered to the occupant.
