Carbon Monoxide Incident

Critical Control received a 999 call reporting possible carbon monoxide poisoning. One appliance from Tolvaddon Community Fire Station was mobilised. Whilst the crew were proceeding to the incident the occupants of the property were given pre-arrival safety advice by Firefighters at Critical Control. A Hazardous Materials and Environmental Protection Advisor (HMEPA) was informed and an ambulance was requested.

On arrival crews used gas monitoring equipment to measure the level of carbon monoxide in the property which was zero.

Paramedics arrived on scene and the crew handed the casualties over to them for assessment and treatment.
