At 19:27 Critical Control received a report of a possible fire in a residential property. One appliance from each of Wadebridge and Delabole Community Fire Stations were mobilised, as well as a Flexi Duty Officer.

On arrival crews used a thermal imaging camera (TIC) to investigate the chimney for potential hotspots.

The crew identified that a smell of smoke had been coming from a newly installed fire.
