Christmas Day Incidents

01:30hrs - Hayle (On Call) & Tolvaddon (Wholetime) - Washing machine fire. Washing machine was removed to an external area and fire was confirmed as extinguished.

01:35hrs - Tolvaddon (On Call) - Standby at Tolvaddon Fire Station

02:46hrs - Bude (On Call) - Automatic Fire Alarm in residential building. Crews attended and confirmed a False alarm good intent.

09:03hrs - Perranporth (On Call) - Chimney Fire. Crews used Chimney Rods to extinguish the fire.

09:39hrs - St Dennis (On Call) - Flooding inside premises. Crews attended and confirmed no flooding present. Crews remained on scene until an Ambulance arrived.

12:23hrs - Liskeard (On Call) - Automatic Fire Alarm in Residential Building. Crews attended and investigated the source of the alarm to be cooking fumes.

12:24hrs - Truro (Wholetime) - Automatic Fire alarm in residential building. The crew investigated and found the system had activated in error. An engineer was en route to reset the alarm and do their own investigations as to the cause of the error.

12:57hrs - Liskeard (On Call) - Automatic Fire alarm at commercial premises. A crew attended this address to investigate. No fire was located and the building owner notified.

14:19hrs - Newquay (Wholetime) - Persons locked out of flat, with a young child still inside - The crew mobilized but a second call was received just as they arrived to inform Critical Control that the person had managed to gain entry to their flat and everyone was safe and well.

14:50hrs - Tolvaddon (Wholetime) - Fire in the open near St Day. Crews arrived on scene to find a small attended bonfire. As there were no concerns and risk of spread the crew returned to station.
