Two fire appliances from St Austell Community Fire Station attended a report of a fire.
Firefighters had to cut away floorboards to locate and extinguish the fire that was between the ground and first floor of the three-storey building, measuring 30 metres by 20 metres. Breathing apparatus, one hosereel, a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher and a thermal imaging camera were used. The fire was extinguished by 1215hrs.
