At 22:42 Critical Control received a 999 call multiple request for police, fire and ambulance after a road traffic collision. The caller reported that a vehicle had left the road and fallen down a step drop into a compound and onto another car. One appliance from St Ives, one appliance from Hayle and the Rescue Tender from Tolvaddon were mobilised, along with a Flexi Duty Station Manager. Critical Control also made immediate contact with Police and Ambulance Control Rooms.
On arrival fire crews were the first emergency service on scene and were urgently conducting a scene survey to ascertain whether any casualties were trapped in the vehicles, one of which had fallen approximately 20 ft onto a parked car.
One casualty was found to be out of the vehicle and received emergency care by firefighters until the arrival of Ambulance Service. Crews made the vehicles safe using stabilisation equipment and the incident was handed over to the police.
