At 10:37 Critical Control received a 999 call reporting an smoke issuing from a boiler flue at an educational establishment. Two appliances were immediately mobilised from Tolvaddon Community Fire Station, as well as two Flexi-Duty Station Managers. Firefighters in Critical Control advised the premises to evacuate and await the arrival of crews.

On arrival crews investigated and found that a fire had occurred in a fan motor of an extractor fan. The fire was out on arrival.

2 breathing apparatus (BA) wearers used a 135 ladder and thermal imaging camera (TIC) to investigate and look for hotspots.
