A30 Launceston at 08/01/2020 19:02
Critical Control received multiple 999 calls reporting a vehicle on fire on the A30 Westbound near to Launceston. One appliance from Launceston Community Fire Station was mobilised. A number of 999 calls were also received by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, and therefore they mobilised an appliance from Okehampton Community Fire Station.
On arrival crews updated Control that the vehicle was well alight and that all persons were accounted for. 2 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus (BA) used two hose reel jets. Crews closed the carriageway to keep the public safe.
