Charging Battery Sets off Carbon Monoxide Alarm

Five firefighters on one appliance from Saltash attended a call to a carbon monoxide alarm sounding next to a boiler. On crews arrival they used a gas monitor and detected a low reading of Carbon Monoxide in the property. After investigating crews confirmed the alarm had been set off by a car battery being charged in a confined space within the home.
