Tree and Power Cables Down Blocking Road

Firefighters from St Austell Community Fire Station cordoned off an area around a tree that had brought down power cables, after being blown over. The tree is completely blocking the road.
Engineers from Western Power Distribution have isolated the cables to make them safe.
The road will remain closed until daylight, when Cornwall Highways will re-attend to clear the road.
