Downed Power Cable On Fire

One fire appliance from Delabole Community Fire Station attended a call to fire in the open. Upon arrival the crew discovered that an power cable had been blown down and was arcing. A small amount of the surrounding undergrowth had caught fire. The fire crew stood-by until the arrival of engineers from Western Power Distribution, who isolated the power. The fire crew made sure the fire was out before leaving.
