Two appliances from Perranporth and one from Newquay attended a call to a semi detached dwelling with a reported washing machine on fire in the kitchen. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to enter the smoke logged property. Firefighters isolated the power to the washing machine and removed it from the property to a safe place. Once the fire was confirmed out a positive pressure fan was used to clear smoke from the building.
