At 19:50 this evening the Critical Control Centre received an emergency call, regarding a residential building under construct on fire.

One appliance from Truro and an appliance from Falmouth were mobilised to the incident.

20:07 Firefighters made pumps 3, building well alight. Another appliance from Falmouth was mobilised to the incident.

20:13 Firefighters on scene discovered one single storey timber framed building, under construction, well alight. The building measures approx. 15 metres by 10 metres. One Hose Reel Jet and one Main Jet in use.

20:35 - Firefighters are now using two Main Jets and four Breathing Apparatus.

21:19 - Stop message received from crews. Firefighters damping down hotspots and Breathing Apparatus has been withdrawn. This incident is being treated as arson suspected.

Arson does not only threaten lives and damage property it has a detrimental effect on communities and the lives of people within them.
