Two appliances from Bodmin Community Fire Station were mobilised to reports of a fire in a residential flat. A Flexi-Duty Group Manager was also mobilised. On arrival crews found the fire was out on arrival but had involved the cooker and extractor fan above. The fire had been extinguished by members of the public who had entered the property after seeing smoke.

An ambulance was requested for one casualty suffering smoke inhalation. Whilst waiting for the ambulance fire crews administered oxygen to the casualty.

Crews fitted a smoke detector and left the casualty in the case of the Ambulance Service.
