On reports that a car had gone over an embankment near the Gannel River, one appliance from Newquay and the rescue tender from Camborne were mobilised to the scene. On arrival the crew found that one car was involved with one person trapped, Brigade personnel used crash rescue equipment at the scene to release the casualty, who was then taken into the care of waiting West Country Ambulance crews. Further details may be obtained from Devon & Cornwall Police who were in attendance.
