Two appliances from the Isles of Scilly Fire Brigade's St Marys Fire Station were mobilised following a 999 call to Fire Control in Truro, of a house fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel to extinguish a fire in the kitchen of the single storey domestic property, measuring about 10 metres by 20 metres by 1820hrs. Crews were detained at the scene for a further hour.
