At 0359hrs a call was received from a neighbour reporting smoke issuing from next door property. One appliance from St Just and one from Penzance Community Fire Station were mobilised, along with a Flexi Duty Officer.
The fire involved a single storey bungalow with smoke issuing the Officer in Charge made pumps 4 @ 0428hrs. This required appliances from Penzance and Hayle to be mobilised along with specialist breathing apparatus support vehicle from Falmouth. The fire was in the kitchen and spreading to the roof and firefighters used four breathing apparatus, main jet and hosereel to extinguish the fire. The cause is believed to accidental.
