At 09:00 this morning the Critical Control Centre received multiple 999 calls for an out of control bonfire.

Two appliances from Tolvaddon, one from Truro and a Whole time Officer were mobilised to the incident.

On arrival crew discovered one shed and a small section of the cliff top, well alight. Firefighters are using two Breathing Apparatus and one Hose Reel Jet.

**Update**

09:52 - Good progress is being made. Firefighters are damping down and turning over, using two Breathing Apparatus and three Hose Reel Jets. The fire is confirmed as accidental and spread, involving one shed, one caravan, an area of decking and cliff face garden.

Due to the ongoing challenges of COVID-19 the Fire Service is asking members of the public to cease all controlled burnings until further notice. Recently we have attended a large number of incidents, which is placing extra demand on our resources. We thank you for your co-operation.
