People and Dog Rescue From Marshland

At 17:30hrs Cornwall Fire and Rescue were alerted to two people and a dog stuck in marshland in Tywardreath unable to rescue themselves back to solid ground.

An appliance from Fowey, water rescue vehicles from St Austell and Falmouth and a technical rescue officer were immediately mobilised.

On arrival the crews located only one adult stuck, along with a dog, approximately 10M from solid ground. Using water rescue equipment, inflatable pathways and small tools the firefighters successfully rescued all persons and animals uninjured.

The persons were checked over by South West Ambulance.

All appliances and officers have now left the scene.
