One call was received by Critical Control reporting a fire outside a reception area of a commercial property. One appliance from Newquay Fire Station was mobilised. On arrival crews found the reception area to be smoke logged and requested a second appliance from Newquay.
The firefighters used two breathing apparatus stage 1 and one hosereel jet to extinguish the fire and used positive pressure ventilation to disperse the smoke.

The cause of the fire is arson suspected and the Police have been informed.
