Critical Control received several calls to reports of a van on fire close to a property. Two fire appliances from Bodmin Community Fire Station and an Officer were mobilised to investigate.

On arrival crews found a van well alight close to the property and all residents had evacuated and were at a safe distance.

Fire crews set to work with 3 breathing apparatus and 3 hosereel jets to extinguish the fire and protect nearby properties.

A fire crew from Lostwithiel Community Station were sent also to provide fire cover in the Bodmin area whilst the incident was ongoing.
