An appliance from Saltash Community Fire Station assisted a Specialist Rescue Team from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue this evening at Saltmill Creek, Saltash.

Working alongside a team from the Coastguard, crews worked to recover a male and dog from a small boat stuck on the mud in the creek. Using mud rescue mats the crews created a pathway across the mud.

The male and dog were both rescued uninjured and left in the hands of the Police.
