Crews from St. Dennis and St. Columb attended this incident, which involved the embankment on the rail track from Newquay to Par. Brigade personnel extinguished the fires using beaters and hosereels, all trains were stopped and the police were also required as smoke was affecting the main A30. Crews were delayed for a time, the last appliance returned to station at approximately 1715 hours. Arson was suspected. The Arson Task Force and Devon & Cornwall Police have been informed and are dealing.
