St. Dennis were mobilised on receipt of this call, on arrival the crew found a large area of gorse alight which was being fanned by high winds. Further appliances were required and crews from St. Columb, St. Austell and Bodmin were mobilised, also the water carrier from Bodmin was mobilised. Approximately six hectares of high gorse was extinguished by the crews. Arson was suspected. Further details may be obtained from Devon & Cornwall Police who were in attendance. The Arson Task Force have also been informed.
