On receipt of this call both appliances from Launceston were mobilised, on arrival the crews found that a semi detached cottage was well alight, further resources were requested and appliances from Callington and Liskeard were mobilised, the water carrier from Bodmin, the command support vehicle from Truro and operational suport vehicle from St. Austell also attended. Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used jets and hosereels at the incident, also the thermal image camera and the positive pressure ventilation fan. The ground and first floor also the roof were severely damaged by fire, the adjoining cottage was slightly damaged by fire, heat and smoke. The fire was brought under control at 0626 hours, crews are remaining on scene at this time turning over and damping down.
