At 18:59 this evening the Critical Control Centre received a 999 call, stating a cooker was on fire at a residential property in Camborne.

Two appliances from Tolvaddon and a Whole Time Officer were mobilised to the incident. On arrival crew made pumps four, due to smoke seen issuing. Two Breathing Apparatus and one Hose Reel were in use.

Further appliances were mobilised from Perranporth and Hayle. Along with the Incident Command Unit from St Just and the Operational Support Vehicle from Falmouth.

Firefighters confirmed a mid terrace three storey house, with a fire located in a first floor flat. Two Breathing Apparatus and one Hose Reel was used to extinguish the fire.

The fire has been confirmed as accidental.
