This evening at 1824hrs our Critical Control Centre recieved a 999 call reporting a tractor being on fire at a farm in St Columb Major. An appliance from St Columb Major was immediately mobilised.
The Critical Control Centre took multiple repeat calls and information was received suggesting the tractor was within a barn containing hay and straw. An additional two vehicles were mobilised from St Columb Major and Newquay.
On arrival a further two appliances were requested to suppliment water supplies. These came from St Dennis and Newquay, with support from two wholetime officers.
At 1907hrs a message was passed back to the Critical Control Centre informing that the fire had been extinguished. Crews are working on damping down and monitoring hotspots.
At this time, four appliances, a light appliance, two wholetime officers and a breathing apparatus support vehicle are still in attendance.
