Bosorne Terrace, St Just at 19/11/2020 15:00

At 15:00 Critical Control received an emergency call from the Ambulance Service reporting a serious Road Traffic Collision involving two vehicles and a number of pedestrians.

Three appliances, one each from St Just, Penzance and St Ives were mobilised, along with a 4x4 Unit from St Just, Rescue Tender from Tolvaddon and two Wholetime Station Managers.

On arrival the first crew gave an update to Critical Control on the number of casualties, and requested ambulances for four casualties.

Both the Police and Ambulance Service sent a number of resources and arrived on scene shortly after.

Fire crews released one casualty who was medically trapped inside their vehicle, and assisted paramedics who were treating a further three pedestrians who had suffered various injuries. All four casualties were transported by road to hospital. The scene was handed over to police at 16:09.
