At 1123hrs Critical Control received a 999 call from Network Rail stating there was a fire on a train travelling towards Par. Appliances from St Austell, Lostwithiel, Fowey supported by two officers are in attendance. On arrival at the RVP point crews established communication with the train driver who informed crews that the automatic fire suppression system had actuated and crews using breathing apparatus were deployed to confirm the fire was out. When safe and the fire confirmed out the train will be moved to Par Station and all passengers have been relocated to a safe part of the train. This is all the information we currently have.
