Multiple resources were mobilised to Lostwithiel as there was a significant threat of water levels rising and a threat to the public. An appliance from Fowey and water rescue units from St. Austell and Falmouth attended along with an Officer. Also in attendance were Flood Wardens, Environment Agency, Cornwall Search & Rescue, Coastguards and Devon & Cornwall Police, a Multi Agency meeting was held and several properties were evacuated as a precaution, water levels were very close to overtopping the defences, crews monitored overnight until the level subsided, an attendance will be made later today to monitor the river levels.
