Appliances from Helston, Mullion and two flexi-duty officers were initially mobilised to a workshop fire in Porthleven.

On arrival the crews discovered a single storey workshop and three garages to be alight.

14:41 - Make pumps x5 and water carrier x1

Additional crews from Tolvaddon, Penzance and Falmouth have been mobilised. The Incident Command Unit has also been requested from St Just Community Fire Station.

Update 17:00 Crews continue firefighting on scene. A cordon of 50 metres remains in place around the fire with three houses evacuated. Crews are using 3 ground monitors, one jet and two hydrants. Crews will remain on scene checking the temperature of the cylinders on scene until safe.

NOTE: ALL RESIDENTS LOCAL TO PORTHLEVEN ARE BEING ADVISED TO KEEP THEIR DOOR AND WINDOWS SHUT AT THIS TIME.
