An appliance from St Ives, supported by the Line Rescue vehicles from Tolvaddon attended a call to a dog that had fallen down a mine shaft at 0900 today. On arrival the Technical Rescue officer confirmed a dog had fallen approximately 20 feet down the shaft and landed on a ledge above a high drop with water below. Firefighters set up a rescue platform with line rescue equipment and one Firefighter was deployed successfully rescuing the animal and reuniting it with the owner.
