At 16:50 the Critical Control Centre mobilised one appliance from Truro to a fire in the open in the Probus area.
Once in attendance Truro requested a further two appliances. Further appliances from Truro and St Austell were also mobilised, along with the Water Carrier from Helston.
Firefighters are using one hose reel and two beaters to extinguish a large quantity of hay, across a 100 metre front. Good progress is being made and crews are checking for hotspots.
