Widemouth Bay, Bude at 21/07/2021 01:03

At 00:32 the Critical Control Centre mobilised one appliance from Bude, to reports of smoke and flames sighted in the area of Widemouth Bay.

Once in attendance Firefighters confirmed three wheelie bins approx. 2 metres by 3 metres, well alight. One Hose Reel Jet was used to extinguish the fire and one Thermal Imaging Camera was used to check for hotspots.

The cause of this fire was believed to be a BBQ, accidental and spread.
