Barn Fire

Several calls were received for this incident, which involved a barn which was well alight. Resources from Callington and Liskeard were initially mobilised, on arrival the first appliance confirmed that a barn measuring twenty metres by twenty metres was well alight and contained a large amount of hay as well as vehicles. Further resources were quickly requested to attend.

Update 0220 hours: Cornwall Fire & Rescue currently have appliances two appliances from Liskeard, one from Callington and one from Saltash as well as water carriers from Liskeard and Wadebridge on scene, the incident command unit from Launceston and a light appliance from Callington are attending, the resources are backed up with three Officers in attendance. At this time high pressure hosereel jets and main jets are in use.

03:35 Update
Good progress being made. Water relay in operation, along with three Main Jets and two Hose Reel Jets in use.

O4:30 Update
Crews are still firefighting, the incident is scaling down, with some resources returning to their home stations. The welfare vehicle from St. Dennis is in attendance, supporting remaining crews.
