Our Critical Control Centre were alerted to a cow stuck in a bog near to the A30 at Temple this morning.

A crew from Bodmin Fire Station, with specialist appliances also coming from Bodmin and Tolvaddon Fire Station were immediately mobilised.

Update @ 1145am - Firefighters wearing drysuits have entered the bog to attach animal rescue strops to the cow. Once these have been attached and fitted safely, the extrication of the animal will begin.

Update @ 1230pm - The cow has now been rescued from the bog. Crews are working to move the cow to drier ground. The Cow is eating and drinking however is still unsteady on its feet.
