Lostwithiel Community Centre, Liddicoat Road, Lostwithiel at 13/04/2006 00:29
On the initial call for this incident one appliance from Lostwithiel attended, on arrival at the incident the foyer area of a building measuring 20 x 20 metres was well alight, further resources were requested, appliances from Fowey and Bodmin were mobilised. Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hosereels and a jet to extinguish the fire, the positive pressure ventilation fan was also used to ventilate the property. Crews were delayed for a time, the last appliance returned at approximately 0300 hours. Arson was suspected. Devon & Cornwall Police have been informed and will be taking action.
