Fire Involving Rubbish
White Lane, Philleigh, Roseland Peninsula at 14/04/2006 21:25
Two fire appliances from St Mawes and one fire appliance from Mevagissey attended. The fire involved a large rubbish tip and the smoke was affecting nearby houses. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one jet and hosereels to deal with the fire. Crews remained in attendance until 0045hrs 15/04/2006.
Crews attended again soon after 1100hrs when smoke could be seen from the tip. The crews spent just over an hour damping down using a jet and two hosereels.
