On receipt of this call appliances from Newquay and Perranporth were mobilised as well as an Officer, On arrival there was a strong smell of smoke from a large hotel, further resources were requested, an aerial ladder platform from Truro, appliances from St. Columb and St. Dennis attended, also specialist appliances from St. Austell and Launceston were mobilised. The fire involved a large hotel, with a fire involved in the roof in one room, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel to extinguish the fire.
