At 12:30 fire crews were called to a residential address in Looe to reports of an elderly person trapped in lift.
On arrival crews were able to release the casualty and administered oxygen therapy as they were in some distress and suffering from low oxygen levels.
Crews remained with the casualty until arrival of a relative who took over caring for them.
