Critical Control Centre received a call at 12:58 to a property in Roche which was filled with smoke.
Crews from St.Austell and St.Dennis Community Fire Stations attended the incident with two Wholetime officers, ventilated the property and found it to be a faulty wood burner.
Crews extinguished the fire and made the property safe.
