Make Pumps 4 Residential Fire

Beginning at 10:27, a number of calls were received alerting our Critical Control Centre of a fire at a residential property in King Street, Gunnislake.

Crews from Callington and Tavistock were immediately mobilised to the address, along with a whole time officer. On arrival, the first attending appliances “Made Up” and requested a further 2 appliances be mobilised for support. Saltash and Liskeard were mobilised to attend.

Crews on scene are reporting a mid terrace property with two floors, measuring 10m by 6m, with a fire in the roof space. Two hose reel jets and one safety jet are in use at this time.

Update 12:30 hours: The fire has now been extinguished and the incident is scaling down. At the height of the fire teams of firefighters from Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue and Cornwall Fire & Rescue were committed to the premises with high pressure hosereel jets to undertake a thorough search of the premises and to extinguish the fire. A Fire Investigation will be undertaken.
