At 16:22 we received the first of three 999 calls reporting a fire involving a static caravan and gas cylinders. Appliances were mobilised from St Just and Penzance along with a wholetime officer from Penzance.

On arrival crews found one static caravan well alight and two firefighters were committed in breathing apparatus under rapid deployment to prevent serious escalation of the incident.

Once further resources arrived a total of four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a main jet and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and cool the gas cylinders. The safety of the cylinders was monitored using a thermal imaging camera.
